Ghetto of Warsaw

Places to visit on Warsaw ghetto tour

We will step back in time to the darkest part of Warsaw’s history.

Before World War II, Warsaw was home to the world’s second-largest Jewish community; one in three Varsovians was Jewish. Very often in the North District of Warsaw Yiddish was heard here more often than Polish, and the relationship between the two peoples was a shifting mix of friendship, hostility, and tension. During the German occupation, this part of Warsaw was enclosed by a wall and designated as the Warsaw Ghetto. On this tour, your guests will learn about one of the darkest chapters in Warsaw’s history: the events leading to the construction of the Ghetto walls, life within the Jewish zone, the Holocaust, and the Uprising of 1943. This deeply moving tour offers our guests the opportunity to understand Warsaw’s difficult history and reflect on its significance.
